Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties: stocks food and supplies for campus convenience store, receives vendor orders, checking product against invoice, ensures coolers and shelves are maintained in a clean and organized manner, takes food orders from customers, operates computerized cash registers, reconciles cash daily, and performs various food production and cleaning duties according to established procedures.

Education/Skills Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Applicants must be able to perform simple math calculations; follow written directions; and possess good interpersonal and customer service skills. Applicants must possess demonstrated reliability and ability to work quickly and efficiently, must be able to work independently within a team atmosphere, and must demonstrate good personal hygiene practices.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Experience with computers and/or computerized cash register systems in food service is highly desirable, as is a background in food production. Willingness and ability to be quickly trained is essential. NIFI certification preferred, or must be obtained within one year of employment.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Standard shift is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Occasional overtime, weekends, holidays and during weather emergencies. Required to work for major college events and weekends.
