Job Summary

The Administrative Coordinator supports the Bowdoin Career Planning Employer Relations team and the Director of Career Planning; serves as a program manager for a number of on-campus and off-campus recruiting and alumni-student networking programs; creates marketing materials and executes online and offline campaigns, provides oversight and ongoing maintenance of the Bowdoin Career Planning website; and handles invoices, budget tracking and back-up administrative support for the front desk Administrative Assistant.

Education/Skills Requirements

Required: High school diploma or GED; Four year college degree or equivalent strongly preferred. Also required: strong written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to interact with a broad cross-section of students, alumni, parents and employers; familiarity with web editing tools and software; ability to work with budgets and manage invoices; manage projects and responsibilities in various stages of execution; ability to take direction from multiple professional staff members; and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Preferred: Interest and/or experience in Career Services operations.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Required: Minimum of 3 years of project management with attention to detailed execution of event-based programs. Working experience with web editing tools and software; Familiarity working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and interest in graphic design. Experience with budget monitoring and invoice tracking and payment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Outlook. Previous experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools a plus.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Full-time, 12-month position scheduled 8:30-5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
