Position Summary

The Asian Studies Program at Bowdoin College, with support from the ASIANetwork-Luce Teaching Fellow Program, invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in South and Southeast Asian Studies, in any discipline except for history or religion, beginning fall 2018. Research field and period are open. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach content courses with substantial coverage of both regions. Special consideration will be given to candidates with ability and interest in Hindi or Hindi-Urdu language advising. Teaching load is one course per semester.

Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. from a North American university within the prior three years. ABD applicants with a scheduled completion date prior to the start of the fellowship year may be considered.
