Job Summary

Full-time administrative assistant/ receptionist position is available in the Dean for Academic Affairs office. Responsibilities include receptionist duties for the Dean and President’s offices, including phone and visitor reception. Other responsibilities include providing administrative support for the dean’s office staff; organizing events, working with staff from other campus offices; ordering supplies; managing the conference room; and provide back-up support to the President’s office staff.

Education/Skills Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college work is strongly preferred.

Applicants must possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and have a willingness and initiative to learn new computer applications.

Successful applicants will have strong customer service skills (visitor and telephone reception); ability to organize and prioritize work tasks and accomplish them efficiently and accurately; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; and the ability to work independently.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

A minimum of three years’ experience working for an executive/administrator in a busy office environment is required.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00 (37.5 hours/week)
